Located in Kramer Hall on the campus of the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind, the Blind Elementary-Middle School offers students a positive and rich learning environment. Briefly, our program includes:
Each day begins with a structured 90-minute reading period. The 100 Book Challenge supports the Florida Reading Initiative. Our curriculum follows the Florida Sunshine State Standards for academic performance required of all students in Florida.
An expanded curriculum meets the unique needs of students with a visual impairment. Students receive special instruction:

An experience-rich environment helps to make a confident student. Extracurricular activities include music programs, and athletic programs.

Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind is Florida's public boarding school for students who are sensory impaired. FSDB is fully accredited, and it is one of the programs of instruction available in the state of Florida to serve deaf, hard-of-hearing or blind students. Find out more
