Emergency Preparedness

The Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) is committed to providing the most secure learning, living and working environments possible. The Training and Quality Assurance (TQA) Department facilitates ongoing updates of the FSDB Emergency Preparedness Manual and coordinates safety drills. Our emergency preparedness practices are closely aligned with National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Safe Schools processes. The TQA Department ensures that FSDB policies and procedures are in line with the most current and best practices, and that staff members and students are well prepared to react in case of an emergency.
