Records Management

The Training and Quality Assurance Department facilitates the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Records Management Program at the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB). Our department assists in the formulation of policies and procedures, which have a significant impact on agency-wide data governance and records management.

The Records Management Program is mandated by the Florida Department of State, via Florida Statutes. FSDB is both a state agency and a public school, per F.S. 1002.36. Therefore, FSDB is required to comply with records retention timeframes, as defined in General Records schedules provided by the State.
