F. Charles Usina Athletic Field
Built in 1971, the Usina Athletic Field was named after F. Charles Usina who was a Florida Legislator (1945-66) and former member of the FSDB Board of Trustees, appointed by the Governor. He also owned and operated the St. Augustine Alligator Farm. Athletic Teams – Football, Soccer and Track & Field
Built in 1952, this three-story building is named in honor of Dr. Clarence Settles who was the ninth FSDB President (1932-1952). The first floor includes classrooms, a wrestling practice room and locker rooms for both boys and girls. The gym is on the second floor. Copeland Fitness Center
Built in 2000, this facility was named after Bernie Copeland who was a benefactor and supporter of FSDB. The fitness center includes a gym, classrooms, a weight room, a snack bar and locker rooms. The gym is specifically designed to meet the standards for goalball, an international sport. This facility is where FSDB hosts the U.S. National High School Goalball Championship on an annual basis. The swimming pool is adjacent to Settles Gym. It was completely renovated in 2013 and now includes new locker rooms and seating areas. Athletic Team – Swimming
The tennis courts are next to the Copeland Fitness Center. There are three courts that are used for FSDB physical education classes as well as the tennis team. Athletic Team – Tennis
Built in 1980, Knowles Hall currently is used for recreational purposes, physical education activities and special events. The Athletics Department is housed here along with a weight room and training room. The weight room is used by all the athletic teams as well as the recreation department. To keep student-athletes in the game, the building has a fully staffed and equipped training room.
