FSDB President Dr. Jeanne Glidden Prickett sent a letter on October 26, 2016 to parents/legal guardians informing them that there has been a change made to the 2016-2017 School Calendar.
Hurricane Matthew resulted in the cancellation of school from Wednesday, October 5, 2016 to Friday, October 14, 2016. Make-up days have now been scheduled for January 26, 27, and February 20, 2017. Although these weekends were previously scheduled as long weekends for our students, this adjustment to the school calendar is necessary to meet statutory requirements. The changes are:
- The Student Home on Weekend (SHOW) Students and Yellow Bus Students will come home on Friday, January 27, 2017, at their regular scheduled time and stop. Yellow Bus Students will be picked up at their regular morning times on January 26 and 27, 2017.
- In February, SHOW Students will return to school on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at their regular scheduled time and stop. Yellow Bus Students will be picked-up at their regular scheduled morning time and stop on Monday, February 20, 2017.
