Please Join Us for an Upcoming FSDB Open House

The Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind invites the community to an Open House Feb. 22 at 9:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Kirk Auditorium. The event is free to the public and gives guests and visitors the opportunity to learn more about the only school of its type in Florida.
“This is a great opportunity for our community members to see the outstanding educational programs and services for our students,” said Mr. Rick Coleman, Parent Services Information Specialist.
The event will feature performances by students of the Blind Department’s OuttaSight Band, and students from the Deaf Department’s Dance Troupe will perform a show in American Sign Language. The activities will also include an orientation and mobility demonstration.

For those who cannot visit the school during the open house, or for families with deaf/hard of hearing or blind/visually impaired children who are interested in visiting the school, tailored educational tours can be arranged through Mr. Coleman.
