ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (Oct. 3, 2011) – Alumni, friends and families are invited to attend the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind’s Alumni Weekend scheduled Oct. 7-8.
“We have more activities this time than we had before, and we hope this will attract more alumni to come to FSDB for sports, alumni socializing and museum tours,” said Brendan Murphy, FSDB alumni liaison.
Of note, a memorial service for former FSDB President, Elmer Dillingham, will take place at Kirk Auditorium Oct. 8 at 1 p.m., followed by a short time of fellowship in the Dragon’s Lair, for alumni, friends and FSDB staff members wishing to honor his legacy. Dillingham served as the school’s president from 1997 through 2008.
More than 300 alumni and their guests from across the nation are anticipated to participate. Alumni are encouraged to wear red and white to support the Dragons teams.
