June 23, 2010 Shelley Ardis and Richard Flores from the FSDB Technology Services Department presented at “An International Symposium: Technology and Deaf Education”. This conference occurs every two or three years. The session highlighted distance learning technologies used at FSDB to enhance parent involvement and access, student learning, and professional development. This presentation was one of three streamed live during the conference. The presentation content, presenters, and captioning is displayed. FSDB’s document aligning courses with curricular materials and related assessments. This resource also presents math materials specific to student performance and indicates materials available to be used as interventions.
Mark Keith, Training Coordinator, discusses practical ways that parents can help their deaf children at home. He offers suggestions to parents to make use of all the noises and sounds around a child.

Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind is Florida's public boarding school for students who are sensory impaired. FSDB is fully accredited, and it is one of the programs of instruction available in the state of Florida to serve deaf, hard-of-hearing or blind students. Find out more
