FSDB Students Garner Recognition at SkillsUSA; One Selected for National Competition

FSDB’s highly competitive Academic Bowl team meets in Washington, D.C., each year to battle dozens of teams for top honors. The national academic competition for deaf or hard of hearing youth began at Gallaudet University in 1997.
Teams from schools and mainstream programs across the country arrive at the national Academic Bowl after competing and winning in local and regional events. During the competition, teams answer challenging questions covering a wide range of subjects.
FSDB boasts a strong record over the years, even capturing the national title! High school students are invited to join the team, and they spend many long hours in training for the competitions leading up to the nationals.
