FSDB Student Recognized as “Student of the Month” by Local Kiwanis Club

The Theodore and Vivian Johnson Scholarship Foundation’s partnership with the school responds to the Foundation’s mission to assist disabled students. The Foundation is in its second decade of assisting our students.
Passing away in 2008, Huston Gilbert Welch left his wife, Claudia Welch, to care for their estate. Through a single important conversation, Mrs. Welch connected her desire to assist deaf and blind children with FSDB.
A former Catholic nun, Dorothy Kassak consistently supported students at FSDB for more than 10 years. Her tireless support, through a serious personal illness, was truly inspirational.
The Johnson Education for Life Transition Program is a unique comprehensive transition program that includes academic enrichment, work-based experiences, family involvement, mentoring, youth leadership and partnerships with colleges and employers.
W.G. Mills, Inc., a construction management company located throughout Florida and North Carolina, prides itself on facing any challenges while delivering a quality product on schedule and budget. In 2008 we needed them the most!!
While diving into a lake one fateful day this donor suffered an injury that left him quadriplegic. Residing in Ponte Vedra, Florida, he has supported students at FSDB through a variety of Restricted Programs.
The Florida Ski Council is a network of ski clubs throughout Florida consisting of members who travel the globe to find enjoyment on the ski slopes. As a part of their mission, each club and the Council are committed to assisting individuals in need.
Epsilon Sigma Alpha is a premier leadership and service organization. The purpose of ESA is to inspire leadership and service by bringing good people together to pursue programs and projects that make a positive difference.

Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind is Florida's public boarding school for students who are sensory impaired. FSDB is fully accredited, and it is one of the programs of instruction available in the state of Florida to serve deaf, hard-of-hearing or blind students. Find out more
