The Annual Fund is responsible for providing the fiscal support it takes to maintain year-to-year excellence in educating and preparing our students to lead successful lives. Tax-deductible donations are made by donating online or contacting the school for gifts of cash or pledge.
Many corporations offer matching gift programs to their employees and their families. Some corporations offer to double or triple an individual’s gift. It is important that you contact the human resource department at your company to obtain a matching gift form. Please contact FSDB staff for additional assistance.
Through a simple contract between a donor and FSDB, an individual who makes a certain level of a gift will receive a fixed and guaranteed income. Payments may be received immediately for life or at a future date. The capital is invested in the School’s endowment.
Based on the needs of a donor, Remainder Trusts are tailored to provide income for life or a term of years. These individually managed trust assets can be arranged for income or growth, depending on the donor or designated beneficiaries.
By contributing to a pooled income fund, a donor will receive the ordinary income earned by the fund on a quarterly basis for life and an income tax deduction equal to the present value of the amount FSDB may expect to receive upon your death.
FSDB receives interest from the asset a donor contributes to the trust for a term of years. At the end of this period, the assets of the trust typically pass to younger family members. By making this “loan” to FSDB, donors can significantly reduce their estate and gift taxes on transfers of wealth to their children and grandchildren.
FSDB greatly appreciates and encourages future gifts made through one’s estate. Planned gifts in which the School’s interest is irrevocable are considered in long-term planning for the School. Past gifts of the kind have been considered in setting fundraising goals and major initiatives.
At FSDB, there are 10 specific projects a donation can be specified for: Arts, Athletics, Birth to 3, Buildings, Classroom, Student Financial Aid, Library, Technology, Scholarship, and Summer programs.
Volunteers are a great asset to a non-profit organization and a genuine contribution by donors. By contacting our Volunteer Coordinator at 904-827-2327, you will be able to find a volunteering.
Your generosity can help create a better school
A former Catholic nun, Dorothy Kassak consistently supported students at FSDB for more than 10 years. Her tireless support, through a serious personal illness, was truly inspirational.
